Amazing Destination

Lots to see, and places to stay

When you are at the 24th Australian Street Rod Nationals in the beautiful Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, come a little early or stay little later and enjoy what this area has to offer.

Discover the historic city of Maryborough one of Australia’s earliest ports of entry on the Eastern Coast. Visit the old wharf precinct and enjoy in the Bond Store and Military museum. Wonder around and take in the early history – Maryborough is also the birthplace of Mary Poppins author Helen Lyndon Goff!

Take a short drive to Hervey Bay, and take a tour to Fraser Island, the World’s largest sand island with spectacular rain forests and freshwater lakes. Cruising along the 8km Esplanade is a must do with its many shops and eateries on one side and the stunning oceanfront on the other.

Check out our local tourism websites to see more of what there is to offer.

Great activities planned

The committee are planing many activities including a Show and Shine on the public days, Go – Whoa, Chassis dyno shootout, Ladies high tea, novelty games and rocker cover racing.

Cruise the track and try your skill at the balance beam, plus there will be a mini rod cruise track for the kids to cruise on all day, and also a kids corner for the younger rodders.

Friday night ‘meet and greet’ will enable you to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Saturday night will see a catered meal with a Rock n Roll band and dancing… with a Sunday morning Breakfast, and a church service – and presentation on Sunday night.

Bundaberg here we come

There will be an early bird cruise to Bundaberg to visit the home of Bundy Rum, a factory is a must do with free tasting after.

Then there’s Hinkler Hall of Aviation which pays tribute to Bert Hinkler as a pioneer of flight in the early 20th century.

Bargara beach and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks are also worth a visit. Morning tea will be supplied by Rum City Rods and Customs at their Clubhouse.
